Women's Fitness Celebration 2007!

It's that time of year again. Last weekend was the Women's Fitness Celebration in Boise, ID. This year our 'gang' consisted of Kathleen Craven, Megan Mortensen, Kristen Mortensen (Kathleen's two daughters), Heidi (Megan's boyfriend's mom), Emily Craven (my sister-in-law) and Me! It was great fun!

Paul and Emily flew in to Boise Friday morning and I came in Friday night. Emily and I stayed up late on Friday night talking and playing Scrabble. It's rare that two married women can have a slumber party type night together of staying up late and giggling. We both had a girly-good time. :-)

Saturday morning came so early as we had to get up and ready for the 'celebration.' Emily and I wore 'custom' made crowns - made by my cute dad out of coat hangers and aluminum foil. They were truly 'one of a kind.'



On Sunday I got to pick up Kathleen Hawkins from the airport and hang out with her until Paul, Emily and I had to leave for SLC. She took me out for breakfast and shopping for my Birthday. It was fun to spend some time with her. I wasn't expecting it. She was coming back from visiting Sasha in Alaska and her flight was earlier than expected so we got to hang out.

Cerra is 25 Today!

Today is Cerra's 25th birthday. Cerra and I met just prior to her 20th, and as I think back, I find it hard to believe that we've already celebrated five of her birthdays together.

Cerra, dear, thank you for all the love, support, kindness, grace, beauty and fond memories you've brought to our life together. I can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring. Happy birthday, baby!

Weekend in Weiser

Idaho Getaway and a Visit from Sasha!

Cerra and I had a chance to go visit Mom this past weekend. We flew into Boise Thursday night and after picking us up, Mom drove us to Weiser. We spent a great three-day weekend visiting with Mom and her animals and just enjoying the slow pace and beautiful surroundings of the Idaho countryside.

Cerra's dad, Doug, his dear wife, Kathleen and Kathleen's daughter Megan came out to Mom's house from Boise for dinner Sunday evening. We had a wonderful time visiting, and Cerra and Doug even managed to get a little horseback riding in.

We flew back to Salt Lake City late on Sunday afternoon. Sasha flew into Salt Lake City late Sunday night and Nolan picked her up at the airport and set her up in his spare bedroom. Cerra, Sash, Nolan, Heather and I all got together last night to have a little celebration for Sasha's 30th birthday. Happy birthday, Sasha!

Thanks, Mom, for the wonderful hospitality and company you provided during our visit. Cerra and I have had such a great few days with our visit to Idaho and getting to celebrate with Sash on her birthday! I just wanted to share.
