Our First House

Dillon and I went to look at our first house on Friday. We have been working seriously toward buying a house for some time now, but, before now, have not been to a point that going to see a house was practical. This is a great mile marker as going to see this house is evidence that we are close to buying.

The house would be a great deal. I truly hope that this is the right opportunity. It's a 5 bedroom, 3 full bath home on 0.13 acres. Small lot, but a lot of house for the price. About 2400 sq ft. 85% professionally finished basement.

We brought our realtor along and he pointed out so many things that we would never had even thought of. In the case of this house, they were all good. He was really impressed with the house and the value too.

This home would be a great first home. Although unlikely, this could be our last too. If we had to, we could raise our entire family in this house. Before we have kids, the extra room will be fun too.

Dillon is going to be on the phone with our mortgage broker and realtor first thing Monday morning. I am hoping we can get this house. As Dillon and I have talked about, if we can't swing it, it's not the right thing. We have a lot of praying to do this week about it, but I feel really good about this house. We'll just have to see.

Holy crap that is a lot of house. If its what you want then I hope it comes true. But, although you already know this I just have to say it. . . your first home does not have to be your dream home. It can be good to start small, build equity, and then move on to big and better in a few years. Where is it by the way? Is it brand new or has it been lived in? Tell me more. . . Love you guys and am hoping for the best!
