A Much Needed Get-Away

Last weekend we went to visit Dillon's mom in Weiser. We had some trouble getting there - we missed our flight and had to wait 6 hours for the next one, but once we did, it was great.

Mom picked us up Friday, late afternoon at the airport in a nice, 2007 Toyota Camry (rental - nice car!) and we headed for the country. I was very anxious to see Max (the dog) the whole way home. It was nice to visit and catch up with Mom in that hour and a half too. When we arrived, both the dogs were barking at the unfamiliar car and I rolled down the window and called their names, which made them more crazy. Max was happy to see me too. He wined and wiggled his butt like crazy for the first few minutes I was there petting him.

I totally missed any baby goats this year. The 10 kids were all teenagers and wreaked of attitude. There was one that was my favorite - partially because he was the only one that would willingly let me pet him. He was also really cute. He had attitude in a good way - feisty little bugger.

Star was super sweet. I think she missed me. She was sooooooo cuddly and cute. She didn't once turn her sassy rump to me - I hate it when she does that. We had a nice visit.

The chickens were sparse, but fun to see.

There were two chicks there that aren't alive anymore. Stupid cats!

Speaking of cats... there were still lots and they were cute.

Not much has changed on Almosta Farm, which is good, and it was so nice to be there. The weather was really nice. It's crazy how humid it is there though... I guess I should say, it's crazy how dry it is here to make Idaho seem humid.

On Friday we ate dinner and watched movies. Mom joined one of those DVD clubs, so her place is like the freaking video store... minus all the good movies.... HA HA! Just kidding Mom (sorry, I couldn't resist.) We watched Dreamer, which I thought was a great show and then we started watching Zoro II, which was a terrible show. It wasn't worth missing sleep watching so we went to bed.

On Saturday we hung out with the animals, visited and went to Ontario. Mom bought a new camera. It rocks! That's what she took those videos of the animals with. We went out to eat together and had a great time relaxing and visiting.

On Sunday we went to see my dad and his wife in Boise. It was nice to see them. We visited some more and tried out Mom's new camera more.

Early Monday morning Mom took us back to the airport. It was a great visit - although entirely too short. We had a great time and need to go back very soon. I hope Mom will hitch a ride down here with Eric when he passed through.

Thanks for the great trip Mom, we love you!

Love it, love it, love it. . . Maybe it was mom and I giving you a hard time that finally got the post up. Sorry, hope I wasn't too pushy. Cute pictures. I can't wait to visit and see all those animals again. I hope you guys will be able to come up again if/when I do make it down there. I hope you and Dillon are doing well. I miss you and love you!

Sash, It's okay, I have been a blog slacker lately. I needed the push.

Mom, we didn't agree on anything. It's a great pic of you! The only thing you did to make it "usable" was blur it. Don't stress about it; it's a good pic.

Love you!
