Twenty six years ago, somewhere in between February 28th and March 1st, Nolan was born.

His birth has changed many lives for the better - especially his family members and those he serves through his profession.

We love you Nolan!

Doug - My Dad

The year was 1952, the place - Roy, Utah, the time - unknown... Little Dougie was born to my "Grandma-Ne-Ne." He was the third child, preceded by a sister and brother.

My father has always been a mechanically inclined, inventive man. He is a very hard worker with idealistic tendencies. He sticks by his interpretations of right and wrong and is very noble. My dad has a very...unique, shall we say, sense of humor that those who don't know him can find insulting or irritating. Personally, I think he is hilarious. My dad is very honest and straight forward - both things that I greatly admire about him.

Happy birthday, Dad; I love you!

The Place

I have had requests to blog about the new place, so let's take a tour! hee hee...

Welcome to our humble abode, please step inside.

Notice the coat closet... and all the coats...

Over here is the dining area

and the kitchen.

Here is my spacious, walk-in pantry!

...the sink...

...and the stove.

Here is the living room.

Come have a seat on the couch. From here you can see the marble plant stand that was given to me by my Aunt Nancy and our new TV, DVD player (thanks to Dillon's dad for all the gift cards) and phone.

On the end table there is potpourri, geode-bookends, a shell fossil and a picture of Sasha, Dillon and me.

This picture that is above the couch is a nice piece of art that Joanne bought and gave to Dillon.

Here is the start of my family photo wall just before the hallway. It's meant to symbolize a family under Christ. So far there is a picture of Dillon and I in front of the temple on our wedding day, a picture of his and my family at the temple on the wedding day and a picture of Alan's family from last year.

Lets go down the hall.
This is the "laundry room" - closet. I love my washer and dryer given to us by Dillon's Uncle Eric and Uncle Alan!

To our left is the second bedroom - our storage room, right now, for all the stuff we need to get rid of...

To our right is the bathroom. It's a very unique bathroom that was originally designed to be two seperate bathrooms combined for the wheelchair accessable units - not the best solution if you ask me.

Dillon has spoiled Cevin (my cat) so that she won't drink out of anything but the sink. She loves Dillon!

The bathroom has two doors - one from the hallway and the other leads into the master bedroom.

I still have a lot of things to do and put away, but it's coming along and feeling more and more like home.

Thanks for stopping by! I can't wait until you can really come!
